A Trip to See Great Grandma Fehr! (My side of the family!)

Flying with babies? What will that be like? That is what was going through my mind April 5th, the day we flew from Vancouver to Prince George on route to Burns Lake, BC! It was actually a good experience! We flew with Westjet and I have to admit that they were REALLY great to fly with! The staff was very helpful about any needs and addressed any concerns we had with the kids. Ambrose and Maisie did very well for their first flight!

After landing in Prince George we rented a car (they gave us a VAN instead! and thank goodness! we need the room!) and we drove the 2 1/2 ish hours to Burns Lake. Our accommodations in Burns Lake were Awesome! We stayed at the "Disher Inn"! Hee! Hee! We stayed with my Aunt & Uncle which was fantastic for us as they had everything set up for the kids AND they opened their home as a central meeting place for other family visiting and for family who live there to drop in! We were able to visit with everyone (I think?) and we hardly had to leave the house which was Wonderful!!!

Ambrose & Maisie met their Great Grandma Fehr and were able to spend some time with her! Grandma invited us over the one day to see her new apartment and for lunch. Lunch was Yummy (you can't beat Grandma's cooking!!) and her new apartment is adorable! My Grandma, if you don't know her, is an Amazing Woman! There is not enough room on this website to tell you all the neat things about her! Let me tell you this though..... she has (not sure on the accurate count!) approx. 36 GREAT grandchildren!! It was so nice to see the family and to visit with Grandma again as it had been way too long! Oh! And my mom and dad and my sister and her daughter Carsen were also in Burns Lake so we were able to visit with them as well! (photo: Maisie, Ambrose & Carsen)

Our trip home was a little rocky because Ambrose & Maisie did not nap in the afternoon on the drive back to Prince George therefore were OVERtired and a bit cranky. Ambrose cried all the way home on the plane actually. Poor Andrew. He was holding HIM and I had Maisie! Oh, I must mention that they seat you in separate rows when you fly with children, so I wasn't even able to spell him off or anything!

Overall it was a great trip and we are so glad we went. I was (once again!) reminded of how wonderful my family is and the love that is shared between us!!
