The Big Island!
That is where we were from Feb.5-15th! Oh, it was wonderful! And I mean that in every sense. The warm sun was lovely (not too hot), the kids were awesome and had so much fun, Andrew's parents were amazing, we snorkeled, we saw turtles, we played in the sand, we swam in the pool, we drank Mai Tais, we did some sight seeing and we visited relatives! We did it all, but it was so relaxing and we had no agenda and just decided what to do when we woke up in the morning. It was a real vacation. I have 400 and some photos from the trip, so deciding which ones to post was a bit of a challenge, but I want to share a few with you!

I love the Big Island. I have not been to Maui or Kauai, only Oahu and I am sure the other island are just beautiful, but I was so intrigued by this island. Next time (did you hear that "next time"! LOL) I would like to travel around and explore some more as there is so much to see and do! Something to look forward to I guess!
These petroglyphs, or stone inscriptions, were etched into the face of the mountain centuries ago. Featuring thousands of facsimiles of turtles, canoes, and other mysterious carvings, the Waikoloa Petroglyph Preserve is one of the most fascinating ways to witness the unique culture of native Hawaii. The petroglyphs can be found along the Mamalahoa Trail, named for King Kamehameha's "Law of the Broken Paddle," a humanitarian law that has been enshrined into Hawaii's constitution.
